ZERODHA TRADING ACCOUNT

   In this step by step tutorial we will be learning how to start our trading account with Zerodha by using your Aadhaar. Opening a trading account with Zerodha is very simple and straight- forward process.

Zerodha Sign Up,

First of all you need to sign up with Zerodha for account opening. Given below are the steps for sign-up process:-

STEP-1:- Click on the link given :-https://zerodha.com/  

You will see Zerodha sign up page in a new tab.

STEP-2:- enter your mobile number registered with your Aadhaar, as shown below and click continue.



STEP-3:- Enter the 6-Digit OTP sent to your Mobile Phone and click on confirm.

STEP-4:- Fill your PAN, Bank Account and Personal Details, such as name, date of birth as per PAN CARD, Permanent address,Etc after filling up the details proceed to continue with the sign-up.

DOCUMENT REQUIRED:-

To proceed further let us check out the necessary documents required to open the account.

  • PAN CARD
  • AADHAAR CARD
  • MOBILE NUMBER LINKED TO AADHAAR CARD
  • CANCELLED CHEQUE/BANK STATEMENT
  • PHOTO/SIGNATURE SCAN COPY 
Also, Income proof is mandatory for trading in future&options and commodity trading. You can also submit the following documents in preference to income proof.
  • Form-16(provided by your employer)
  • IT Acknowledgement copy
  • 6-month Bank statement
  • latest salary slip(signed and stamped)
  • ETC
ZERODHA ACCOUNT OPENING PROCESS:-

So let's begin with:-
STEP-5:- After filing your details (personal details)the next step is to pay the nominal account opening charge.


For trading in "EQUITY&CURRENCY the fees prescribed is only 300 rupees 
& for trading in "COMMODITY" the fees is 200 rupees, in my opinion if in case you want to trade in commodity too in future then apply for both and proceed further.

STEP-6:-  Enter your Mobile Number and Email.ID to complete your payment process. You can pay using your card, Net banking or Google pay wallet.



After the payment process is completed, you need to complete the IPV (IN-PERSON VERIFICATION) to complete the process just follow the steps given below:-


 STEP-7:- Upload the scanned copies of your bank proofs and signature, Income proof(optional- "for commodity trading) and PAN.

NOTE:- Your IFCS code and Account number should be shown on your bank proof, also Income proof is mandatory if you wish to trade in commodity


STEP-8:- In the next step you will see there are two options available, just click continue on the e-sign with Aadhaar.

NOTE:- you can choose the alternative for doorstep pick up of necessary documents.


STEP-9:- To proceed further continue and click on eSign Equity button.


STEP-10:- First, enter the obtained security code on your registered Mobile number/ Email, address , then click on the submit button.


STEP-11:- In the next step, tick the checkbox and click on the request OTP,

Finally enter the OTP received on your mobile to complete the eSign process.

NOTE:-Repeat the eSign procedure from step-11 if you have opted for commodity trading and F&O segment. 


STEP-12:- You have completed the sign up process, In the next step download & take a printout of Demat POA & Commodity ECN.



STEP-13:- Finally, sign the document in provided field manually , "NO" need to sign all the boxes. Just sign POA boxes F13 & F14 and post them to Bangalore's ZERODHA office within 7 days of account opening day.

And your trading account is ready for you to invest and to enter the world of stock market.
