Mike  Markkula   wrote the Apple Marketing Philosophy when Apple was commenced. Who was Mike  Markkula ? First big Apple investor and chairman, a father figure to Jobs. He taught Jobs about marketing and sales. “Mike really took me under his wing,” Jobs recalled. “His values were much aligned with mine. He emphasized that you should never start a company with the goal of getting rich. Your goal should be making something you believe in and making a company that will last.” Markkula wrote his principles in a one-page paper titled “The Apple Marketing Philosophy” that stressed three points. Alphabet is an American multinational company conglomerate company. It came into existence through the reorganization of Google on October 2, 2015, and became the parent company of Google and several former Google subsidiaries. The two founders of Google assumed executive roles in the new company, with Sundar Pichai serving as CEO and Sergey Brin as president. Alphabet is the world's fourth-largest technology company by revenue and one of the world's most valuable companies.   The idea seems to be to allow Google to remain focused on things related to their mission while the Alphabet can help  expand into new areas without having the burden of explaining how everything apparently fits into Google.
